When talking about marketing and how we connect with people, whether past, present, or future, there are always ten ways to catch their eye. This is information that will be on the frontline of all your major marketing including how you structure the words used. This starts with the physical aspect of marketing, what I like to call the third dimension, and includes all five senses that we possess. You want to give a visual perspective, just like a graphic novelist would, that evokes the smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing of your customer. For example, if you are running a restaurant you would want to demonstrate the smells or tastes of your food through your marketing. It is also important to connect with the fourth dimension of marketing that involves your mind, will, emotion, and intellect. These characteristics will speak to a customers decision making, their dreams and goals, and their emotional reaction. Making sure your marketing is including the third and fourth dimension will help connect with current and future customers in a way that has a lasting affect.

Video Marketing and Why People Love It!

Hey this is Andrew Houglum back again and talking to you about video and why it’s important to have video on your website. The main point I want to make is that people love video, plain and simple. This is why YouTube is one of the top 10 most visited sites on the planet. People love to watch videos, and this is why people go to the movies. It does a couple other things besides people loving it. One, it sets you up as the experts it allows you to explain or showcase your expertise via video. The third thing it does for you is it starts that relationship with the prospect. It breaks down the wall and allows you to kind of be in their living room so to speak talking to them about your products and services. It allows them to get to know you and allows them to say they want to work with you because they think you seem like you know what you are doing and they think you can help them.

I just want to encourage you and if you are not utilizing video in your business, shame on you. Start doing it today; there is no time like the present. Go to your local electronic store and buy a camera. It just needs to be a little point and record or they refer to them as point and share cameras and you can get started right away. Put A Link In The Description Box When Using Video Marketing

Why is it so important to put a link in your description when you are video marketing? Thanks for tuning in today for Direct Business Marketing’s Get Direct live webinar marketing series. Right now I am going to tell you why it is so important to put your website’s link in the description box when uploading your video to YouTube.

You definitely want to put a link in your description box and I see so many times when people fail to do this. It is essential to first put the http:// because this will tell YouTube that it is a link; put this on the first line of your description. After that, you need to remember to hit Enter and then type your description about your video. This is imperative because you get some backlinking help for SEO for your website as well as someone viewing your video will have a link to click on to go to your website; if you don’t have your link in the description, how will they know where to go to find you? They will have to turn to a search engine and that may not get them directly to your website. Make it easy for the consumer by putting your website link into the description box when utilizing video marketing.
